In the beginning, Anderson ValleyBrewing Company was housed in the lower level of its brewpub, the Buckhorn Saloon. Gleaming Stainless steel vats brewed and fermented barley and other specialty grains to create outstanding ales, porters, stouts, and wheet beer. These brews begun as a dream of Kenneth Allen to create the smoothest tasting ales available anywhere. After extensive investigation into quality brewing, the Allens decided how the beers should taste, and proceeded to design most of the processing vats and tanks used in their beer-making process. They began making and selling beers in 1987.
Martin and James were bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominated the UK market.
They decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew theirr own beers. Consequently in April 2007 BrewDog was born. Both only 24 at the time, they leased a building, got some scary bank loans, spent all their money on stainless steel and started making some hardcore craft beers. They brewed tiny batches, filled bottles by hand and sold their beers at local markets and out of the back of their beat up old van.
Their biggest mission when they set up BrewDog was to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as they are. And that is still their biggest mission today.

The Kiuchi Brewery was established in 1823 by Kiuchi Gihei, the headman of Kaunso Village. His family was collecting rice from farmers as taxes for the Mito Tokugawa family. He began his brewery with the idea of using remaining rice stocks in the warehouse. In autumn 1996, Kiuchi started the beer brewing business, named the brand Hitachino Nest Beer with a unique owl logo. Over the years, Kiuchi Brewery has gained Japan and world-wide attention by winning awards at numerous world beer competitions.

Brewery Slaapmutske is a young dynamic and fast-growing Belgium brewey located in Belgium, near Ghent and founded by Dany De Smet, a 41-year old brewing engineer and beer lover. Born in Wetteren, Dany lives in Melle, near Ghent (East-Flanders, Belgium). He Finished brewing school in 1992 as a brewing engineer during which time he started working at the Hughe brewery (known for Delirium Tremens, and pink elephant beer) as brewing master. In 1995, he taught brewing science at Ghent Brewing High School (brewing technology and quality control), and in 1996, he worked as hygeine specialist for the brewing industry. A home brewer since 1992, he participated in founding the local beer-tasting organization from Zottegem.

Victory Brewing Company was opened to the public on February 15, 1996 by Ron Barchet and I'll Covaleski in an old Pepperidge bakery, a 142-seat restaurant, 70-foot-long bar and a full-scale brewery.
